Formschöner und seltener Lounge Sessel, aus der 400er Reihe von Hartmut Lohmeyer für Wilkhahn, Deutschland. Einer der elegantesten Entwürfe aus dem Deutschen Mid Century Modern, hier in einer Ausführung aus dunklem afrikanischem Teak-Holz, als Hochlehner und einem Bezug aus sehr hochwertigem Wollstoff des dänischen Premiumherstellers KVADRAT (Tonus 4).
Der ohnehin hohe Sitzkomfort wird abgerundet durch den dazugehörigen Hocker aus der gleichen Reihe.
Sessel und Hocker wurden neu gepolstert und bezogen. Die Holzteile sind stabil und weisen nur wenige Spuren in Form von kleinen Kratzern und Bestoßungen auf, die den hochwertigen Charakter des Möbels nicht beeinträchtigen.

This beautiful lounge chair was designed by Hartmut Lohmeyer as part of his 400 series for Wilkhahn in the 1950s in Germany. The elegant shape and the light proportions make this easy chair one of the most outstanding designs of the mid century era in Germany. The easy chair has been reupholstered with high-quality wool fabric in grey by Danish premium manufacturer KVADRAT (Tonus 4).
The high backrest chair comes with the matching stool for maximum comfort.
The African teak wood frames show some minor traces of wear and tear, nothing that distracts. The foam and upholstery are brand new. The armchair’s overall appearance presents beautifully.

Gallery owner Kevin Siegert's collection features a wide selection of Danish and nordic hand-selected mid century furniture designs from the 1950s and 1960s but also 20th century furniture design classics from the Bauhaus era and the 70s and 80s from all over Europe. The pieces are meticulously inspected and, if necessary, expertly and lovingly restored.
